I enjoy the outdoors and I periodically think about the old west the old frontier that all the men and women and children that made the journey west. 

Some to find gold and silver some to start a new life completely.

So many reasons so many inspired for adventure to find a wife a husband even a tribe to learn from.

I am so grateful and thankful to each of them all the my ancestors and family and friends that paved the way for my own life.

I have so much respect for the Native American Indians and the life and lifestyle they have lived  and continue throughout the United States.  

There is so much history and roots in SoCal that I have been so interested in and exploring.

To explore and experience a true Native American sweat lodge for over 3 years now has been an amazing journey.

Letting go of old conditioned negative thoughts and words is an amazing freedom from the negative codependencies on might have.

 Keep the fire stoked with positive creativity and keep exploring.

A new custom shaped and painted surfboard, for surfers healing a fund raiser for autism

You can bid on this board and others through  December 2021, at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point.

After completing the shaped board the next step is layout the design directly on the foam blank.

Next step is adding acrylic paint and bring it to life.

The waves of change by Paul Carter

Waves are empowering on many levels from the power and the energy it is learned by experiencing them.

This is a reflection wave directly onto the foam of recently shaped board from pencil to paint set on the two wood stringers.

A multi layered abstract painting on canvas using acrylic paints, and paint pens. 

The abstract background opens the mind and the wave and palm trees give this painting a vintage classic time travel experience.

Another shaped surfboard with custom colors and a request for a wave for this customer.

A clean fast and functional 9’0 with a bit more rounder rails and a nice tucked edge the last 2 ft.

Has a nice light tint fir that classic look.

A custom painting freehand on the foam gives this board a nice image to enjoy in between sets.

The top aide of the light brown tint with a original pencil sketch on the foam.

Some of the latest creations with a three stringer and a wedge double stringer.

A 10’6 custom blank by us blanks give this board a clean classic look.  A little more curve throughout the board with a slightly pulled in nose and a nice. I eve through the tail makes this a unique surfboard.

A 9 footer with a bit more performance and lightness give this board a fast and loose style board for cruising or carving and yes nose riding.

A little fuller upper outline with a nice curve in the tail for those tight pocket turns.

A new sketch for book 3 in the works.  These books are each called waves of change and they are for all ages to get present and color with positive words to read and breathe into.

A 100% Handshaped with custom one of kind abstract art and yes some positive words up by the nose to focus on in between waves.

Custom Trestles surfboard & art Paul Carter

I am excited to put this board through some R/D steps and find the speed spots. 

A 6’4 reshaped out of a 7’10 blank that eas going to the dumpster.  

A medium nose rocker with a 20.75 width for the planing speed.

This is a latest sketch with pencil along with some positive reminders for life. 

The pencil to black ink really makes this pop out with more detail and depth. 

This will be in a future book.

Rainbow in SoCal by Paul Carter

I recently saw an awesome rainbow and this is the creativity I was inspired to create. 

As a 100% heterosexual I think it’s important to share the journey of art without judgement.

First step measure and template the board,  next step cut the within 1/8 inch of the outline.

The blue room of creativity a custom shortboard in the works.    In this photo I am checking the tail rocker and rails.   Everything you see curves etc are shaped using the electric planer.

In this photo I taped off the biard for a 4 inch abstract stripe down the middle o. Tom the top and bottom of the board.
