A new shortboard and a comparison on the two shapes.

On the left a 5'11 by 19.75 both are 2.38 thick,the board on the right is a 5'9 by 21.

I have been riding the 5'9 in knee to chest high surf and I'm very stoked with the speed it carries through the flat sections with more then enough speed for quick or carving turns and slide when you want it.

I wanted to make a board for chest high to overhead surf that has a similar curve with a bit less volume all the way around.

A nice variety of boards for all types of surf and surfing for two foot to 6 to 8 foot.

One of the boards is a fun small wave board that i'm really stoked about for the paddling and speed and maneuverability.

Here is one of my new summer sled series for waves in the waist to a foot or two over head.

This is a 5'11 by 20 by 2.38 thick with a five fin set up using future fins.

It's always nice to get the five boxes for the many options of fins and configurations.

Hand Shaped Clark Foam blank from 1985

This was a flashback project from 1985, A Clark foam blank that was 80% shaped from the 80s era with a couple of deep channels which I shaped out using the electric planer and put in concave,As you can see from the outline I changed that up with a clean curve.

The board was pretty yellow from sitting in a garage for over 20 years,was stoked my friend Rob gave it to me after all these years.

The red striped board is a 9'6 by 23.25 for a guy in the 180-220 weight range with a 2+1 fin set up with a wood tail block. A board for speed and turning along with nose riding. The 10'2 is a classic shape with 3 stringers and a volan knee patch with a wood tail block. This board is 24 wide and made for gliding an trim speed and smoother turns. This is a recent Hand shaped longboard a 10'2 with a wood tail block. The three stringers look amazing on any size surfboard and the added strength keeps the board alive for many years longer then single stringers. It takes anywhere from 3 to 4 hours on this size board and another 2-3 on the tail blocks by matching the tail curves top and bottom.
