Painting a 1960s fin by Paul Carter

The painting of a 1960s fiberglassed fin called (24 hour dream)

I have painted some fins before but this was the first classic style fin from the 1960s

It had a small delamination of the fin that looked like a wave when I first saw the fin, so I went with the design you see in the first image.
This was designed with pencil then to archyval ink pen and then to paint
pens and final paint that I use on clothing.

Inspired art by Thomas Kinkade & Paul Carter

Acting on the inspiration when it happens fuels the fire to more and more learning by doing the work.

Here is one such spontaneous art Is inspired by the art of Thomas Kinkade.

I like the houses in the card and the bridges are awesome, so I put together my own perspective of a surf dream.

Next I will start with the first layers of paint and bring it life.

Keep creating and never compare yourself with anyone and always be aware of the thoughts and emotions you do and don’t want in your mind and body and life.

Learn from the past but don’t live in the past it will only keep you stuck in the past and not enjoying this awesome life now in the future.

I enjoy the beauty of the clean look of black ink drawing it gives a classic old style look and feel.

Trying out different color options and I like the posca paint pens for simplicity of adding color especially on the road being mobile.

When I use paint I like acrylics paints for the drying time and the variety of colors is great.

Drawing surf art from black ink to color

A surf dream drawing inspired by my travels around the planet and the dreams along way.

Using archival ink with this freehand drawing of a tropical dream surf spot with the classic shack on the beach makes this drawing art and therepy on a few levels.

I have been playing with paint pens and colored ink pens and some colored pencils along with digital drawings and coloring to learn the different options and techniques that are necessary for each application.

I get inspired by nature all the time and the dreams are gettting more frequent with many surf spots to surf mentally and physically.
