Paul Carter handshaped sup
Here is the latest Sup board for JP a 7'10 by 28 by 4 thick. This stand up paddle board is set up with five boxes for the many options an ways to ride waves from 1-6 feet.
JP requested a abstract painting with the 3 colors she liked.
This board has a nice curve through the outline and a nice nose and tail rocker for speed and manuverability with a concave to vee bottom.
I also put in two extra plugs in either side of the handle for a secondary handle which can be tucked in the handle when not in use.
One of the aspects that keep me inspired and motivated is the wide varity of surfboard shapes available this day in age.

Learn How to paint surf art painting on canvas and plywood (+playlist)

Tips on how to paint and prep canvas and plywood. I like to use 1/4 inch plywood in 4/8 ft sheets or precut.
The large sheets usually have knots on one side and smooth on the other.

Using acrylic paint and a product called Gesso to give the wood a smooth surface to paint on and a medium gloss varnish to seal the painting when completed.

Handshaped classic longboard San Clemente Surfboards Art

There is a unique connection with Handshaped surfboards as in sculpting, painting, music and just about anything one creates with his or her own hands.
I am grateful an thankful to Steve B of Infinity for teaching me a solid foundation of Hand Shaping Surfboards, and to Terry M, Midget S,Terry S,Timmy P,Ron H,Mark E,Matt B and All the Craftsmen that share there experience openly to one another.
The blank was put together by USblanks and is one of 5 I have shaped so far.
This is a 9'3 by 22.50 by 2.75 with 3 ceder wood stringers and a single fin box, with a wave painting in and under the stringer.
The first 3 stringer painting was in 06 and is now on display at Nic's Vacuum & appliance at 216 Del Mar street in San Clemente.
CJ Is the proud new owner and I am the proud craftsmen to pass it on to him.

Thank you CJ and each and all my family and friends on this planet, I appreciate all the support and inspiration.
I have been shaped by each and every surfboard from the inside out on this journey that started in 93.

New Surfboard Handshaped shortboard Paul Carter

here is a custom shortboard for all types of waves with a five fin set up for the many options
handshaped surfboards by Paul Carter
New surfboards and shortboards in SoCal San Clemente. As a Hand shaper for over 20 years I still enjoy Hand shaping all my boards. It's sculpting and art with every aspect hand made in the USA.
Here is a light blue in opeque color which is mixed in the resign which gives a classic look on a modern surfboard. The board Is 19.75 wide by 2.38 thick for with a nice curve in the tail outline for speed and tight turns in the pocket.
Set up with future fins the F6 and I like the 350s for the back quad set up for more munuverabiltiy and speed and less drag.
The clear board is a 6'4 by 2.58 thick by 21.50 this is for a guy in the 175-200 lb range a excellent board for waves in the solid waist to over head surf also set up as a five fins as well.
If your getting a quad get the center fin you will be happy you did. It gives many more options for many types of waves. Let me know if you have any comment or questions.
