Shaping Surfboards San Clemente

This is the latest custom shape for Jack, a 5'1 by 20.58 wide and 2.5 thick with black glue lines and a bass stringer. Over 7 years ago the majority of the boards I shaped were longer in the 8-10ft range. Now it's 60% shaping all shapes and sizes under 8ft . The remaining 40% is everything in between 8-10'6. Long story short I enjoy shaping more then ever because of the opened mind of the surfers today. This board is a great example of the many varieties this day in age in the shaping and surfing world it's great.

Cutting out of a new shortboard for the shaper. This is a 6'2 by 20.75 with a 14.5 nose,and a 15 tail into a 5in squash tail block. This will work from 2-5ft with plenty of speed through the flat sections and carving turns.

Sunset and Drawing in San Clemente

A cooler time of year when the clouds and color are amazing with the fresh cool air.
This sunset was like a painting that evolved into a mesmerizing combination of colors that made me stop and take some deep breathe and say thank you.
The drawing was inspired from the sunset the day before showing the silhouette of Catalina. As you can see I put a bit more curve in the island with my drawing.
