I was meeting the new owner of this classic style longboard and thought a photo on the infamous Dana Point pier would be great.

 I’m reminded on this cool morning on April 14, 2018 the importance  at staying focus through the clouds.

I am looking out the back windows of this van with the waves around 1 to 2 maybe 3 foot peaky conditions and people sitting waiting for their waves contemplating life and whatever’s going on in their mind.

 I think to myself the importance of keeping life simple and not go down the rabbit hole and the rat race of buying stuff and all of the conditioning from growing up however that was for you.

We are living in a unique time of a age where every individual who has a smart phone now has the the option for their own media center and of course the library of endless information and knowledge which is amazing to say the least..https://instagram.com/p/BhT-xCanywJ/

 I feel that if more people would live in a van for six months to a year or two or three years or a tiny home they would get a healthier clearer perspective and respect for themselves and living a minimalist life with the simple necessities to thrive and enjoy a healthy quality lifestyle not simply survive.

Drawing surf art from black ink to color

A surf dream drawing inspired by my travels around the planet and the dreams along way.

Using archival ink with this freehand drawing of a tropical dream surf spot with the classic shack on the beach makes this drawing art and therepy on a few levels.

 I have been playing with paint pens and colored ink pens and some colored pencils along with digital drawings and coloring to learn the different options and techniques that are necessary for each application.

I get inspired by nature all the time and the dreams are gettting more frequent with many surf spots to surf mentally and physically.

San Clemente Surfboards & Art Paul Carter

This surfboard was inspired by a Phil Edwards and a Mike Hynson surfboard that I saw in person and from old surf moves like endless Summer.

The fin was plain yellow until one day I was surfing and lost the board on the rocks and loosened the fin in the process.

I decide to paint the fin on both sides to give it some love and re glass it. 

 The board was shaped around 1994-95, I ordered this custom 3 redwood strnger blank from Clark foam at that time,

Little did I know that I would begin painting in 2000 and as you see from the paintings on both sides this is what I was inspired to create.
